Compassionate, Caring and Dedicated

It is incredibly important to us to provide you or your family member with peace of mind when it comes to the care that we provide.

The safety of the individuals who we provide support for is of paramount importance to us so our staff are carefully selected using a rigorous recruitment process, they are all asked to complete an enhanced DBS (Criminal record check) and are sent out shadow working with a senior member of staff to ensure their competence before being allowed out to work alone.

They will also complete mandatory training:

  • Moving and Handling
  • First Aid
  • Food Hygeine
  • Safeguarding
  • Infection Control

All staff are required to complete their Care Certificate and we will enroll staff onto their Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care within 6 months of issuing a permanent contract. Over 75% of are staff have completed their Level 2 Diplomas, and also a number of our newer staff working towards this qualification.

We also have a considerable percentage of staff who have achieved their Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and also level 4 and 5.

We pride ourselves on the level of training we provide for our staff, we have staff who are PTTLLS trained (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) and deliver our in house training on specialised subjects and we also access training from outside to cover not only mandatory training, but training tailored to the client group with which they are working, covering training such as (but not limited to):

  • Dignity in Care
  • Professional Boundaries
  • Communication
  • Diabetes Awareness
  • Epilepsy Training
  • Mental Capacity Act
  • Medication
  • Health and Safety
  • Aspergers Syndrome Awareness
  • Pressure Sore Management
  • Advanced Care Planning and Risk Assessment
  • HIV and Hepatitis Awareness
  • Stoma, Gastrostomy and Catheter Care

also Level 2 & 3 Awards in:

  • Dementia Awareness (Level 2 & 3 Awards)
  • End of Life Care (Level 2 & 3 Awards)
  • Multiple Sclerosis Awareness (Level 2 & 3 Awards)
  • Stroke Awareness (Level 2 & 3 Awards)

We arrange specialist training as and when required. We invest time and money into our staff, so that they can be invested in the work they carry out. We are among the top 10% of care providers in the country for staff retention according to the Skills for Care Training Database. This in turn allows us to get to know the individuals who we provide support for, without the continuous turnover of staff.
